For Nike, the year 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max.
The Air Max Day will also mark the re-edition of the Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant, devised by the Tokyoite Atmos boutique in 2007. In 2016, Nike had asked Internet users to vote what Air Max they wanted to see emerged for this year. The Atmos Elephant was chosen.
