An illuminated sign works after dark, which is when a shopfront most needs to be found. All four of ours run on 12 V with a neutral white LED and an included dimmer, so you set the brightness to suit your frontage rather than lighting up the whole street.
Every sign is aluminum with an acrylic face and arrives blank, ready for a signwriter to apply your artwork — which lights through from behind.
Round Light Box Sign — a circular face in two sizes: 23.6″ (60 cm) at 22 lbs (10 kg), or 15.7″ (40 cm) at 12.8 lbs (5.8 kg). Suits a logo or short business name.
Rectangle Light Box Sign — 27.6″ × 19.7″ (70 × 50 cm) landscape, 19.1 lbs (8.65 kg). Sized for a business name or logo above a door or window.
Curve Light Box Sign — 9.8″ × 29.5″ (25 × 75 cm) portrait with a curved profile, 19 lbs (8.65 kg). The vertical format suits narrow shopfronts, doorways, and the gap between windows.
Simple Light Box Sign — a projecting box that extends 16.5″ (42 cm) from the wall, 8″ × 8″ (20 × 20 cm), with seamless formed corners. Five faces are brandable: both sides, the front, the underside and the top — so it reads to people approaching from either direction and to anyone standing directly beneath it.
Start with the space you're filling. The Rectangle suits a wide frontage above a door; the Curve suits a narrow one or a pier between windows; the Round suits a logo. The Simple Light Box Sign is the only one that projects out from the wall, so it's read from along the street rather than face-on — and with five brandable faces, it works where people approach from several directions.
Each sign runs on 12 V and includes a 6 m cable, a dimmer, and plugs for AU/NZ, US and EU outlets. You can plug it in or have it hardwired by a qualified electrician.
The sign itself is built for the weather, but the plug, dimmer and cable connection need to be indoors — so an outdoor installation runs the cable through the wall to an interior power point or switchboard. Measure the full cable path, not just the distance along the wall, when checking the 6 m will reach.
Yes. The housings are weatherproof and built for exterior use, with aluminum that won't rust in coastal conditions. The electrical components go indoors, as above.
For a plug-in installation you don't necessarily need one, but any outdoor install involves running the cable through the wall to an indoor connection, so most customers use an electrician. If you're hardwiring rather than plugging in, an electrician is required. Our Safe Installation Guide covers the requirements in full.
The LEDs run at 4000–4500K, a neutral white that reads clearly at night without a blue cast. Every sign includes a dimmer, so you can set the level to suit your frontage and the light around it.
Stainless steel wood screws are supplied, designed to fix into solid timber framing. For brick, concrete, block or render, source the appropriate masonry anchors — at 5.8 to 10 kg, these signs need a secure fixing into a solid structure.
Yes. Every sign arrives blank, and a local signwriter applies a vinyl decal of your artwork to the acrylic face, which lights through from behind. That means the sign is genuinely custom to your branding rather than chosen from a set of stock designs — and you can change the artwork later without replacing the sign.
