What is the Poster Sidewalk Sign?

The Poster Sidewalk Sign is a freestanding double-sided A-frame that holds a printed A1 poster behind clear acrylic panels, so your message shows from both directions on the footpath. It stands 39″ × 24.6″ (99 × 62.5 cm) with a 25.6″ (65 cm) foot, is made from aluminum and acrylic, and the feet remove with the included Allen key for transport.

What else is it called?

The Poster Sidewalk Sign is also known as a poster A-frame, sandwich board, pavement sign, or A-board. In the US and Canada it's usually a sidewalk sign; in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, a pavement sign. Because it takes a printed insert rather than a painted panel, it's also called an interchangeable or poster-insert sign.

Is the Poster Sidewalk Sign double-sided?

Yes. Two clear acrylic panels hold your poster so it reads from both directions. Print one double-sided A1 sheet, or two single-sided sheets placed back to back if your printer can't do double-sided.

What size poster does the Poster Sidewalk Sign take?

A1 — 23.4″ × 33.1″ (59.4 × 84.1 cm) when used with the acrylic pocket. The visible area is 22.2″ × 32″ (56.5 × 81.5 cm), so keep important content inside that margin.

Can I use a rigid board instead of a paper poster?

Yes. Remove the acrylic pocket and the frame takes rigid board — corflute or foam board — at 23.6″ × 33.97″ (60 × 86.3 cm). Maximum thickness is two boards of 0.1″ (0.3 cm) back to back, or one board up to 0.2″ (0.5 cm).

How should I set up my artwork for a rigid board?

The visible area sits higher on a rigid board than it does with the acrylic pocket, because the frame covers more at the bottom than the top. Allow a 35 mm margin at the bottom and a 10 mm margin at the top — anything in the bottom 35 mm will be hidden behind the frame.

Can the Poster Sidewalk Sign be used outdoors?

Yes, in covered or sheltered outdoor spaces. It isn't fully weatherproof when used with a paper poster, so we don't recommend leaving it in heavy rain. Printing on waterproof stock, or using a corflute board, makes it far more suited to open-air use.

Can the feet be removed for transport?

Yes. The legs remove and refit with the included Allen key, so the sign packs down for events, markets and pop-ups.

Does poster printing come with it?

No — the sign is supplied without a poster. A1 posters can be printed at any local print shop, so you can change your message as often as you like.

Do you sell a matching sign for inside?
